One Hundred and Third Installation Meeting
Monday 6th of November 2023 saw the one hundred and third Installation Meeting of the South Kent Lodge.
This was a most unusual but interesting evening for numerous reasons.
Firstly, as W. Bro Marc Terry had been elected to serve a consecutive term as our Master, it resulted in an extremely short ceremony due to him not having to go through the Installation ceremony again.
He still had to invest a number of brethren, which he carried out to a very high standard and sincerity, in a very relaxed fashion, putting all at ease.
Well done Marc, we look forward to another happy year under your leadership.
Secondly, we were privilege to welcome our newly appointed Visiting Officer W. Bro. Peter Herbert who will now be a regular visitor, and we look forward to sharing Peter's company and support for many years to come.
Thirdly, to add more interest and to entertain our brethren and visitors, a rendition of the First-Degree Tracing Board was carried out by a number of the younger brethren.
All seemed to have enjoyed the opportunity of performing in front of others, working as a team.
It was well received by all present and congratulations to all who took part, particularly our Lodge Mentor Bro. Peter Bowden-Rooke who had mentored and encourage our younger brethren to take part.
The coming year is going to be a busy one for the South Kent Lodge and W.Bro. Marc Terry can be well assured of the support of his officers and brethren.
There followed a Festive Board which was enjoyed by all.
