Initiaton for Mr. Russel Leslie King
Our regular meeting held on 1st April 2019 was an Initiation for Mr. Russel Leslie King.
W. Bro. John O’Connor (Worshipful Master) conducted the early part of the proceedings before inviting W. Bro Gary Epps to occupy the Chair of King Solomon to complete the ceremony, which he did with feeling and sincerity.
W. Bro. John Hickman, our Junior Deacon, was responsible for conducting the candidate around the Lodge, providing that most important reassurance to the candidate.
Well done John!
Our most recent Fellow Craft, Bro. Peter Bowden-Rooke, presented and explained the Working Tools.
As a young mason who has only recently been passed to the Second Degree, he is to be congratulated on his presentation and delivery, a great example that should inspire our other younger brethren.
W. Bro. Dennis Fordham completed the occasion with the Antient Charge to the Initiate.
On conclusion, the Worshipful Master then congratulated Bro. Russel King and welcomed him, on behalf of the brethren, into the South Kent Lodge.
Bro. Russel's proposer and personal mentor, W. Bro. Mark Smith, then congratulate him.
It was definitely a happy and enjoyable meeting from start to finish, something Bro, Russel King will look back on as very special, and we all look forward to seeing him take his next step in Freemasonry.
