Third Degree Raising for Bro. Simon Clifton
Our regular meeting of 9th April 2018 was a Third Degree Raising for Bro. Simon Clifton.
The whole evening was great from start to finish, beginning with a committed candidate who answered all his questions with confidence and clarity.
The Raising ceremony was conducted by four Past Masters of the Lodge, W. Bros. Mick Smith (Acting Worshipful Master), Gary Epps, Dennis Fordham and Fil Thompson, who were assisted by the regular officers.
Bro. Colin Burnikell completed the ceremony with the presentation of the Working Tools which he did in a most able and sincere manner.
All in all, Bro. Simon and the South Kent Lodge had a very successful and memorable meeting, which was due not only to the commitment of all the brethren involved but most importantly to teamwork.
It was certainly a proud moment for W. Bro. Gary Epps not only is Simon his candidate but a very close friend he has known for many years, having initiated him and then being able to take part in the ceremony made the occasion very special for him and Simon.
We wish Simon every success in his masonic journey and hope he has many happy years in the South Kent Lodge
