Initiation for
Mr. Michael Jack Harte

Our meeting held on 16th January 2023 was an extra meeting to enable us to Initiate Mr. Michael Jack Harte who had been waiting patiently since April 2022.
W. Bro. Marc Terry (Worshipful Master) invited W. Bro. Mick Smith to occupy the Chair of King Solomon to carry out the ceremony.
Mr. Michael Jack Harte was then properly prepared, announced, admitted and obligated as an Entered Apprentice Freemason.
W. Bro. Dennis Fordham, our acting Junior Deacon, was responsible for conducting the candidate around the Lodge, providing that most important reassurance to the candidate.
The W.M. addressed both candidates in the West, and W. Bro. Dennis Fordham addressed him in the North East part of the Lodge.
W. Bro. Gary Epps presented and explained the Working Tools.
Bro. Peter Bowden-Rooke completed the occasion by presenting the Charge to the Initiate.
On conclusion, the Worshipful Master then congratulated Bro Michael Harte and welcomed him, on behalf of the brethren, into the South Kent Lodge.
Michael was then introduced to his personal mentor, W. Bro. Peter Bowden-Rooke, who also congratulated him.
We are sure Bro. Michael will look back on this evening as very special, and we all look forward to seeing him take his next step in Freemasonry.
